Who is in charge of VG Art at SEMC?

I have a presentation I have to do for college based on a living/currently working artist and a deceased artist.

For the living artist I wanted to use someone at SEMC because I absolutely love both the splash art and the models themselves.

For the project all I was told so far is that I need the artists name or alias, where they work/what they do and examples of their artwork

So does anyone hapoen to know who does the artwork or model design for VG?

It used to be Carlo Arellano (aka Chainsaw) but I see that he’s no longer listed on their team page.

Weird that they have only two artists on there now: emmaskyeward and Fizzler

Maybe they’re truly outsourcing everything to contractors now …

Thank you so much!!! :star_struck:
I had just found Carl Arellanos Art Station Page and was about to search for the others
This is going to work great for my project
Hopefully the professor finds them acceptable for it.

Emma is marketing , she is the one designing the deals art in game , she talked about it before in her stream , I don’t see anyone from the art team before , they probably made chainsaw an advisor or something just give opinions on splash arts after they made by different freelance artists .

Thanks for clarifying … it sounds like they’re relying on freelancers now. (Not necessarily a bad thing, because the art continues to be excellent.) Hard to see how they function without an art director, though – unless, as you suggest, Carlo is still involved somehow.

Yeah the current art still matches the same style splash arts in VG have always gone for, so it’s a good thing the freelancers still stick to it (And keep improving on em cause Ylva’s splash art is awesome)

It’s tough to say, but I think Ylva might be Chainsaw’s work - it has something of his sketchy hand (looking at the hair, and the edges of the face), which you see a lot of in King Glaive. But they’ve used multiple artists per image before, so the background, or even the body, could be someone else, with Chainsaw just retouching the face (which is what I think he did for Grace’s default splashart). :woman_shrugging:

Is sugar venom married to chain saw or his relative I just noticed they both have the same last name

They were married but are no longer together.

Big oof
