I kinda agree with you on this. Petal’s mechanics was really unique. I had no problems with using her/him/it.
By making it a skill shot, petal is just another typical hero.
Also prevents you from using all your minions up or wasting a hit by overkilling the opponent.

Yo can’t, it was a rework, if we could use heroes without the changes made I would use BF with the trail.
Petal rework if anything made her crawl out of tier 1 in VG Pro and made her a much better, viable, respectable Tier 3 hero in VG pro.
After the rework she was even used in pro play in EU I think.
