A passenger named Leigh Marts, traveling across the midwest on a Southwest Airlines flight this past week, noticed this strange sight out the window when the aircraft was over Kansas. The strip of snow was only 15 miles wide but stretched across a number of counties and was the result of two air masses colliding gently at the surface. More details are
