CP Baptiste can toplane rather well. Offensive captain too where you build CP for damage and sustain so you can tank enemy hits. Superscout and fountain when possible and see what your team needs. You need SF CW DE as core items the other 3 slots are open for superscout fountain atlas/crucible…

Try it, appreciate it sounds rather bizarre but it’s incredible strong. Those empowered attacks combined with his B help him unless huge burst DMG. Throw in his inbuilt heals and he is also rather tanky with his C being a great way to finish fleeing enemies or disengaging when the fight turns against you.
I’ll definitely give it a go. I’ve been using him a lot more recently (went through a hardcore carry-only phase) and it’d be a good way to mix up my playstyle.
I can’t say what pins him down. All I can say is that I’ve been successfully playing WP Bap in 3v3 for a while now, despite everyone sayin he’s rubbish. But then, I do like to call myself an off-meta player, and that is for a good reason.
