The Death of User-Friendly Design

A really eloquent plea for a return to user-friendliness by world-famous designer and former VP at Apple Don Norman.

(Another, older article focused on Apple’s current UI failures is here. I happen to be in total agreement with both articles – UIs these days seem to be aimed at aesthetics rather than usability. Jony Ive, for all his awards, doesn’t appear to understand that the things he designs are supposed to be used instead of just looking pretty in a product video.
