Stupid Players leading to Salty Rant

Salt Radiation Levels over 9000.

I generally tolerate players not building according to how the hero is most suitable to be played with considerations to their team comp.

But. I had two very aggravating players in a Battle Royale match where my team had every advantage yo win, but my teammates blew it so hard I can’t help but rage at their sheer idiocy.

My team comp was Gwen (me), Lorelai (who swapped last minute for no apparent reason other than probabky disliking the first pick they got) and a Yates who was just straight up new to the extreme. None of these two went support at all and instead when into builds that I call glass cannon morons.

The enemy was all melee with Reza, Grumpjaw and Tony. They weren’t even that good. My team mates just run into tem early on and fed like mad.

I’m not going to do a play by play recall, but I can say that the Lorelai was chicken as heck and pings starry eyes for whatever reason, when she chickens out and survives from us dying, and Yates was straight up just not using his abilities properly (like ulting just a few feet away).

Now it makes me wish heroes are designed to be one build path only and no others (Churnwalker purely Captain and Kensei being purely weapon). Get rid of the choices so that recommended builds only recommend the appropriate builds and makes hero builds more predictable while oppening an avenue to teach player to specialise in one role.

;-; This makes me sad to see. Sometimes you need to spice up your matches sometimes.

Ive played VG for about three years and I can finally say that at this time, ive played every current hero equally enough to the point where im bored no matter what hero I choose.

This leads (or used to since I stopped playing)to me to use wacky ass builds that bring me enjoyment. WP Anka, WP Lane Koshka, CP Gwen, and Captain Baptiste are all heros that are not necessarily supposed to go to the opposite path but I can play them well enough where its not a restriction to the way I play.

But I do understand where you’re coming from, new players will be new players and its should be listed somewhere in the app that combining two paths or building pure glass is not recommended for newer players.

Too bad we dont have a In-game chat to help explain how not to feed or die carelessly. Maybe we could have a wide selection of pings that we can choose from to use the selected amount in-game. Idk :hugs:

Also whats you’re ign (I just wanna add you if you’re NA for blitz and Br if you’re online)

CP Gwen is secretly badass, can’t believe the amount of flak I get with her in brawl modes

but WP Anka, please share that build :joy:

Yeah, I like heroes having diverse build paths. It’s just that some are just plain bad if the player is bad at that hero.

I for one love cheesing with CP Grumpjaw max cooldown build. A lot of players underestimated how much one swipe of his A can take out of their HP, hehe.

I haven’t reached the point where I’m bored of all the heroes, but I am getting slightly bored with my mains (Ardan, Flicker, Fortress and Vox).

My fifth main changes with my mood I suppose. It has to be something that pleases me enough to have me grind their Talents in the Daily 5 Talent Chest.

My IGN is Starfarer, but I’m in the SEA servers.

Heh, CP Gwen can do wonders, especially if the player has levelled up her Rare Talent.

It’s not easy because longer range heroes can out poke her, but it’s quite nice when it is pulled off properly.

Urgh…!

I had another match that was stupidly thrown out of the window, again from teammates who are ok this time around skill wise, but are the type that are stupid enough to not finish the game before boasting.

It was a BR match again. I’m Varya (build as a poke machine with Rare Talent and Spellfire because enemy team was too dangerous to fight close range), Lorelai CP (again, no support), and Ozo (no damage, dies a lot first because yolo).

Enemy is a Cath that build CP with some support items, Adagio weapon and Gwen weapon.

We had it in the bag! Only the Vain left to shatter!

BUT NOOOOOOO! My teammates decide to fight the enemy that just respawn and NOT TARGET THE DAMN VAIN!

They realised their STUPIDITY once they saw their HP go down in 3 ■■■■ SECONDS!

We couldn’t even fight the enemy at close range let alone duke it out overtime without me poking the shit out of them with my A!

Needless to say, it stretched out the match a few more tortorous minute and let to our defeat.

Sometimes, people in Battle Royale are just too trolly. Finish the Vain then you can emote to your hearts content you effing dolts of unappreciative dead weights and a source of my high blood pressure!

Downvotes them for Trolling/Grieving cause I am so having grievances with these types of players.

I feel your pain almost every day. Except today for some reason. I kinda actually like staying in T4-5 sometimes. For some strange reason I actually get good teamates lol. From Mid T5 up every time I get there it’s a shitfest. I guess I gotta grind past the boosters or something because every other day I see someone on my friendslist at like T8 and they’re back to T5 in like no time. And unfortunately they’re not that good in game most of them. Yet they’re that high. It confuses the hell outta me.

I never was a liberal user of the downvote for unskilled play in the past but hell I use it every second I can now. I only hope that some get better and the rest that may have been sorta trolling but not really get a downvote for actual trolling and get banned if need be, which has happened I think on a few occasions recently.

I find that players that are marked as 5v5 founders (thanks silly badge) and are around Tiers 4 to 5 are more reliable than those in higher Tiers.

There are the occasional high tier player in my games that outperforms everyone, but most that I have encountered throw the match quite hard some times or just outright trolls.

I don’t play Ranked for the simple reason that going high means meeting more annoying try hards and the game length isn’t suitable for me. I get antsy and more daring if the goes on for too long.

I think my friends list that are generally active are my Guild members that befriended me. The top cut of my Guild are rather active and in decently high tiers.

Guild isn’t too active, but active decently enough that we consistently reach Level 25 or 30 each season.

I’m only Tier 5 Gold for both Ranked modes currently (though my highest this season is Tier 6 Bronze for 3v3).

Because I play way too much, my Guild Points contribution is just below the Officers of the Guild. I’ve only ever played 3 times with random Guild members and 2 out of 3 were loses :stuck_out_tongue:

Imo, BR is designed to be a troll mode. I regularly go Glass cannon, even with heroes like Churnwalker (altho he is surprisingly good CP with his epic talent). Sure, I sometimes lose because of it, but I win just as often. It’s just a bit of fun either way, not something to get worked up about.

I don’t usually get mad at BR and the things people do in it.

It’s just that this time, they decide to troll and ping starry eyes like idiots.

The second one was a straight up throw. My teammates deserve that loss for disrespecting and not finishing the game.
