I actually used to go to a boarding school in Keswick, England. The town sits on Derwentwater, which was used in The Force Awakens as the location for the panoramic and fly-over shoots of Takodana, although it was CGI’d up a bit
I’ve added an image of the place in real life, and what it looked like in Star Wars, below.

It really is. I used to spend weekends cycling along the ridge you can see on the other side of the lake (or up other hills not in the pic)
