Played Lorelai As A Hyper Carry

They should give DE the same stacking method of BP cause right now it is doesn’t require skill it simply requires you to stay in contact. Stacks should scale with CP Damage

@Nivmett why was a new stacking method made for DE instead of copying and adapting the BP method? Was it because of aoe CP damage scaling too fast?

Personally I think DE stacking is better than BP’s. With BP’s way of stacking heroes who deal high damage abuse it as it scales even faster for them. Heroes who can actually survive for long time still don’t get that much out of it unless they have high damage. That’s why old BP was better in my opinion (not the stats. That was beyond broken lol).

Yup. In addition DE as well as breaking point are intended to get stronger the longer the fight goes on. It was really used to mirror old Broken Myths stacking mechanic. Since the item was split in half into new Broken Myth and Dragon Eye. Sonata is the designer behind DE.

You really should only build DE on tanky heroes like reim joule or grumpjaw, or on cp captains like flicker…Lorelai doesn’t benefit as much because she’s not an aggressor. She’s more of a strategist, ducking in and out. Even as a captain she shouldn’t be sitting in the fight, but more looking for openings after she’s stunned or pooled someone.

Reim and Lorelai, yes. IMO they are 2 of the maybe 4 heroes who justify DE. Joule and GJ, no. CP Joule doesn’t poke and doesn’t tank. Joule is a one-shot team nuker who needs high upfront base damage due to the relatively long cooldown on BRB. GJ is all about high burst base damage from Grumpy. Both benefit more from SG. AOE CP AA heroes like Vox and Varya can transfer early damage from a frontliner to backliners and have such high attack speeds that the time based scaling of DE doesn’t make much sense. Zoner and objective takers like Celeste and Skaarf benefit more from upfront damage. Burst heroes like Koshka and Reza need more damage over a shorter period of time.

Reim and Lorelai are tanky CP heroes. Lorelai has the same base health most ranged heroes at 2250. The difference is as a CP carry she can Waterwall herself. With 800 base barrier, plus 180 from the perk, plus 100% CP scaling, plus 15% health scaling she easily hits 50-70% increased EH for that 4 second period. She also isn’t the CP or WP hard carry which means she will typically be the 3rd or 4th target priority. This gives her time to stack DE.

I think Nivmett is being cautious with buffing her because at level 6 with an AC, she has pretty solid 1v1 potential and turret taking ability. She is sitting on an AC, a perk giving her 4 crystal bits worth of damage, and a potential barrier of 543. Her kit has the potential to utilize some less than meta items in ways that let her reach those high DE stacks.
