Pinging retreat at home when recalling

I remember in one patch, when you recall to base, the system will automatically ping retreat at base for you.
Why remove it?

The features itself was short-lived. It was made available on patch 2.0, I think? And was removed one or two patch(es) later.

I love that feature. Now whenever I recall I have to ping The Blue Guy at base to say: ‘Stop doing what you are doing cuz I am going home’
