EdAWACS Hero Rework: Nyx

“You can run you can hide, but mental scars will always remain behind.”

“The flaying of one’s dignity, has such a rapturous flavor of cruelty.”

Welcome to the Vainglory Hero Spotlight, today we will be looking at Nyx, a malicious connoisseur of abuse and misery.

A creature spawned from the trauma of abuse and harassment, Nyx seeks out victims of abuse and relishes the suffering of the living. Once she finds her tarnished prey, she seeks to amplify their anguish with further abuse and depravity until she finally gets bored with her plaything. This sadistic appetite never quite satisfies Nyx for long and she returns to the Nether always unfulfilled.

However, Nyx now senses a being trapped between the boundary of the living and the Nether, anchored to limbo by a cursed blade. She now roams the land, snacking on new playthings to ease her boredom as she searches for her coveted toy with which she can gain access to an endless fountain of misery.

Nyx is a sadistic assassin who slashes her way through the battlefield with her unparalleled mobility and area of effect burst damage. In a team fight, she has the terrifying ability to abduct an enemy hero, depriving enemies of their crucial teammate at the wrong moment, while crushing their hopes and sowing doubts of any possible victory.

Nyx’s HEROIC PERK is Seed of Doubt

Every time Nyx strikes an enemy with an ability she gains a stack of Seed of Doubt with a maximum of 4 stacks. Each stack grants 5% ATTACK SPEED and 6% AMPLIFIED DAMAGE on Nyx’s basic attacks.

Seed of Doubt lasts 2 seconds and can be maintained with basic attacks.

Allied heroes can donate 1 stack of Seed of Doubt to Nyx for each enemy hero they apply hard CROWD CONTROL to within 13 meters of Nyx

On her A, what does the charge time mean? Is it a mistake for cooldown or is it a stackable ability like Rezas B?

Other than that, the ratios and base damages seem fine to me, not overwhelming but not overshadowed by other assassins.

:cheers_minioncandy_t3:

What do you think of Nyx as a character design and lorewise?

For her A it was a mistake on my part. The charge time part was back when she could store 2 charges of the ability. I forgot to change the wording from Charge time to Cooldown.

What do you think of her Second ability and her ultimate as well as her passive and how it the interactions her B has?

As a LoL occasional player, It surely reminds me of Evelyn. Both are sadistic but there are differences between the two.
Second ability

This seems counter intuitive if your trying to eliminate a foe. Unless the bonus damage is from the removal of the stacks of doubt.

Mind telling me what those differences are
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

It’s not actually counterintuitive at all. Seed of Doubt are Stacks Nyx grants herself.

The passive of her second ability Anguish Predator means that she will mark enemies with her A and Ultimate which is separate from her heroic perk. If Nyx uses her dash on an enemy that has been already marked she will consume the mark itself and deal bonus damage based on how many stacks of her passive she has stored up.

Consuming the mark with her B also resets the abilities cooldown allowing Nyx to dash again. Therefore if she wishes to continue dashing she needs to constantly land her A and ultimate or else her dash goes on a fairly long cooldown.
